Biography

I am a 20 year old Ultimate Frisbee player, this a new upcoming sport which is big over in America and is expanding around the world each year. I have competed at national level for many years for my team flux this is at a junior level(under17s/under20s), however 4 years ago I represented Great Britain for the first time at euros in Wroclaw Poland in the u17s category. I was also selected to play for England in the first ever u20s world ISF tournament this is a international school tournament. 3 years ago I was selected to play for Great Britain at worlds in Malmo Sweden in the u20s category and last year I was selected again for the GB U20s world squad back in Wroclaw, Poland. The JHMT have helped me with funding for the last two tournaments I have participated in.

This year I trialled and successfully achieved a place on the GB u24s Worlds Squad! This is a massive achievement as it means I will be the youngest squad member! The tournament will be held in Nottingham this July. Once again the amazing JHMT have supported me financially in order to make my participation at the tournament possible and help to fund training sessions, warm-up tournaments and accommodation. This is because Ultimate frisbee is a self funded sport and is not supported by the government as of yet, this is something which I hope will be supported more in the future.
