Biography

My name is Max and I am 13 years old. I have been riding a bike for as long as I can remember. My passion for BMX has always been a part of me. I love watching it on tv and watching the races in person. My mum is always taking me to indoor and outdoor BMX tracks in different places when she can. I spend alot of my time down our local BMX track in the village and have enjoyed helping out in the tracks upkeep. It is a great community. More recently, I have taken my BMX passion to the next level.

I have joined Alvaston BMX club based in Derby. I train here weekly and have settled in well already progressing quickly. The coaches are really friendly and the race track is amazing. At the moment I have to rent the race bikes to use in coaching sessions but I want to practice more to improve my performance even more so. To do this, I need to invest in a race bike of my own so that I can practice in my own time which I am committed and dedicated to doing.

This grant will give me the opportunity to purchase a race bike and help me achieve my dreams of becoming the best I possibly can on my BMX race journey. Thankyou.
