Biography

Katie is a very talented Badminton Player. She first picked up a racket once she could hold it! as her family are involved in the sport, she has played since the age of 3, started at Whitwick Junior Badminton Club at the age of 5 and gained a place in the Leicestershire Performance Centre at the age of 8. She played her first National tournament at the age of 8 with her best friend and fellow Badminton enthusiast and has gone on to represent her County at multiple age groups and win National medals since then. Her love of the game may have come from the family in the first instance but she now has the bug to be the best she can be at the sport she loves.

Katie continues to represent Leicestershire at Junior and Senior level and play in National tournaments most weekends.

The support of charities like Inspire awards play a huge part in Katie's development and help her to gain skills and knowledge that will stay with her through her whole life and for this we are extremely grateful.
