First term at Performing Arts College

At the end of the summer I successfully auditioned and had one of 9 places in CarFest's got Talent over the August bank holiday weekend. This experience was something very different to what I have done before, and it was fun to perform in such a large space, with a great audience.

I then started my Musical Theatre Performing Arts Course at Studio 79. I am very fortunate to have been given one of the 16 places that has 30 hours training a week and is all fully funded. It is great to be doing what I love to do all day every day. The teachers are national experts in their teaching area which means I am getting amazing teaching. We had been there about 7 weeks before we had our first musical theatre performance and we are now working towards our end of term production. I am learning so much and I can feel myself improving in my dancing and singing each week.

Alongside spending each day at college I have continued to attend dance classes and took part in a dance competition and I am pleased to say our Senior troupe got the gold medal. I also took part in a week long dance show and was thrilled when I was asked to perform Bye Bye Blackbird, taking the lead singing role, performing with 7 backing dancers.

I spent a week performing Hunchback of Notre Dame, performing alongside the adult ensemble as a featured dancer. A wonderful experience, although it was exhausting leaving the house at 7 every morning and not returning home till 11pm!

However something that I am incredibly proud of this term is I auditioned to take part in Les Miserables with The Drama Academy. I was thrilled when I discovered I was given the part of Fantine, the leading female. I can't wait to perform this next term
