Today I performed my first solo at a dance competition. I have been working on a modern dance solo and because I have just turned 15 years old I had to be entered in to the senior section. I think I was the youngest in the section.

I absolutely loved taking to the stage and having the opportunity to dance on my own. I managed to use the whole stage and smiled through the whole dance.

When it came to the awards presentation all the performers in the senior section gathered on stage to hear the adjudicator's comments. I loved hearing that she felt drawn to want to be dancing on the stage with me. It was exactly what my dance teacher told me to aim for!
