Over the past week I have been in Kiev, Ukraine for the European and African Championships. Due to the demands of A Levels, I had not trained as much as I would have liked to in preparation for the competition. However, I decided to attend anyway as a process to prepare for the high pressure situation I will face later in the year at the World Championships. Therefore, I had no real expectations of my riding during the competition.

Unfortunately, the competition did not go to plan and I didn't land my run in qualifiers or last chance qualifiers, and didn't make the final. I ended in 8th place and the team took 5th overall.

Although this was a disappointing result, it will still a great week away with the GB team, and I learnt a lot about the way judges view each rider. This past week has still put me in a good position ahead of the World's in November, as I now know what I need to be working on to get higher scores in future competitions.
