GB Junior Trials

Posted: Sat, 27 Apr 2019

On the 26 April, I raced at the final GB junior trials for this year, where the all the top juniors in the country race for GB selection in the summer. The format of the event was meant to be a time trial on the Friday evening, which would seed crews for semis and finals on Saturday. However due to Storm Hannah, Saturday's racing was called off before the event, so all was to play for in the time trial. Having won the three previous trials this year, I was keen to keep up my winning streak, especially as a good performance massively increases chances my chances of being selected for the World Championships in Tokyo. I had a really strong race, and was delighted to find out that I had once again won the trial, with a very comfortable 6.5 second margin to the second placed sculler! I am racing for GB for the first time next weekend, in the Munich Junior Regatta, which I am incredibly excited for!!!
