British Championship qualifier!

Yesterday, on 2nd February, I competed in my second competition of the season in an open meet at Loughborough University. Once again I ran two rounds in the 60m hurdles.
In the first round, I ran a p.b. of 8.65 which I was pleased with but knew I could improve on as I didn't feel I really attacked the first few hurdles.
In the second round, I was a lot more aggressive out of the blocks and came away with a much better p.b. time of 8.47 and even more exciting is that it meant I achieved the British Championship indoor standard of 8.50, meaning next weekend, on 10th, I will be competing in Birmingham at the European trials against some of the best hurdlers in the country!
I am extremely happy with this performance as I was not expecting to run such quick times in my first year as a senior hurdler, running quicker than I did over the lower hurdles as an under 20!
Once again I would like to say a massive thank you to the JHMT team for their support over the last year.
