Throughout June I had several athletics competition whilst undergoing my A level examinations, hence the delay in posting a blog entry.

On the 9th June, it was the Leicestershire and Rutland County Schools Championship which I needed to participate in in order to gain selection for the county at the English Schools' Championship (a prestigious national competition). I won the senior boys 110m hurdles and 400m hurdles and thus gained selection to compete in the 110m hurdles.

The following weekend, I headed down to Bedford to take part in the England Athletics U20 Championships. Here, I competed in the 110m hurdles, I was slightly disappointed with my performance as I narrowly missed out on the final, however, it was still a strong run and the time I ran wasn't far off of my personal best.

A couple of weeks later, on the 1st July, was my last competition before the biggest event of the season, English Schools! It was a UKYDL fixture, this time in Milton Keynes. I ran in the sprint hurdles once again, where I clocked a solid performance to take the win and secure maximum points for my club. Following this, I ran first leg in the 4x400m, running the fastest split for the team and handing over the baton in first place.
