On 28th February my mum and I flew up to Edinburgh for this meet combined with British Championships. We were lucky to get the last flight out of East Midlands before the 'Beast from the East' struck!

It was an eventful few days (and very scary at times). We were up at 5am every day to make the journey, slowly, to the pool, despite having to get dug out of a snow drift we made it safely every day!

Unfortunately my 6 qualifying swims weren't to my usual form and I was a little disappointed with my times - as the National qualifying window opened 1st March too.

However, onwards and upwards, i'll put it down to experience and hopefully my season will only get better.
