Yesterday I competed in the English School Championship at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham, unfortunately my race didn't go to plan on the day and therefore I did not make the final, despite the fact that my personal best was well within the time.

Although I was gutted with my performance I had an amazing time at the championship, staying over in a hotel with my fellow team members from the Leicestershire and Rutland squad, supporting all the athletes in their respective events.

A big thank you to the JHMT team for their grant which has enabled me to even qualify for English Schools, a fete which didn't seem possible this time last year!

I am now looking forward to representing the England Midlands team in Cardiff on Wednesday.
