After two intense seasons of bobsleigh, I hadn't competed in karate in over a year. I still maintained regular karate training with my coach Sensei Michael Rankine and last week competed in one of the biggest competitions of the year, the English National Championships. I came away with two bronze medals, in my individual section and in the team fighting with my good friend William Tatham. I wasn't expecting to medal having not competed in so long and to come away with two medals was brilliant!

I have now received all the dates for the bobsleigh summer season, which will see me training at Bath university every Friday and Saturday until late September! This is where the financial support of my JHMT Inspire Award will help tremendously when preparing for the winter season!
