Rohan Bhuhi is 18 year old, from Oadby, Leicestershire and one of the rising stars of Leicestershire hockey. His passion is hockey and dreams of one day representing Team GB at the Olympics. This year, the European Under 18 Championships in the summer are firmly on Rohan's radar. The build up to this major championships will include attending many training camps and matches against other nations such as Germany and Holland.

I have been playing hockey for as long as I can remember and dream of representing GB in the olympics. I am applying as I aim to play in the European Under 18 Championships in the summer of 2018. In the build up to this I will be attending many training camps and series against other nations such as Germany and Holland. Having played for England under 16 and under 18 last year which was one year early for his age group, Rohan is currently in the under 18 training squad and hopes to be selected for the all of these training camps. He also plays for Loughborough Students in the National League looking to get promotion to the premier league this season.

Rohan said: ' The Inspire grant will help fund some of the travel, training and equipment costs. It will be an honour to receive the award as it would give me more drive to achieve my goals this year knowing I am supported by a great trust. I also coach younger age groups at my former club, Leicester Hockey Club, and this would help inspire them to reach the highest level.'

Simon Taylor, Inspire lead, said: ' Rohan is a great example of a high achiever who is prepared to give something back to his sport by his coaching activities.'
