Biography

Katie is 15 years old and has a real passion for Tennis. The highlight of this year ( 2016) was finishing second in the Leicestershire County Championships. The has lead to further recognition with her having recently been chosen as a member of the county team to compete in a 12 x counties tournament.

JHMT's Support

Plans are already in place for 2017, Katie is going to La Manga in Spain to train at the performance academy. The county championships are in August and she would like to take part in a one week tournament in Cromer, Norfolk.

Katie said: ' The Inspire Award would benefit me so much as it would greatly help towards making sure I'm ready to compete at my very best. Match practice is really important going into a championship. After the training I have done in La Manga, being able to do the Cromer tournament, when I will be playing matches every day for a week and this will really hone my match skills and performance ready for the county championships. My goal for 2017 is to win the county championships'
