Training and Racing during Covid 19 Pandemic

I was always sceptical about this track season due to the current pandemic, however I managed to squeeze 4 races in ( 3x1500m's and 1x800m) between the 25th of August and the 15th September. If this had been a normal season I would have expected to go under 3:50 for the 1500m and bring my 800m down to somewhere between 1:50-1:53. Out of my 4 races I ran 3:51.64 for 1500m and 1:54.4 for 800m which I am more then happy to take from such a confusing and unusual season. My 1500m time meant I finished the season ranked 12th in the U.K. for U20 so I would have loved to of had the opportunity to race at a National Championships this year.Looking forward, I have just moved to Birmingham as I am studying at the University of Birmingham so I am excited to begin training with the group here which is full of great athletes. Although, I am currently trapped inside as I recently tested positive for Coronavirus so I am currently in my isolation period. Once I have completed my isolation period I will be back building up for the winter, however, cross country looks very unlikely at this stage. I believe there will be no races before Christmas for me so I am aiming for races early next year which could be the Nationals or BUCS. At this current stage I have no idea what form I will be in at that stage, but I remain optimistic that when the opportunity comes I will be ready to achieve my best.
