Training is working

With limited circuit racing available I’ve decided to switch my attention to 10 mile time trials which are running as normal. The time trials give me the feeling of having a number on my bike and preparing for a race which I haven’t had in 5 months.
The picture above is from the first time trial post lockdown on Mallory park. The position I am using is very similar to my individual pursuit position however I have to stay in that position for over 20 minutes to stay as aerodynamic as possible.
The time trial filled me with confidence and proved to myself that both on and off bike training sessions throughout lockdown have been really useful. I completed the 10 miles in 20:56 mins which gave me an average speed of 28.66 mph.
