Track season completed! Now to Cross Country 2019/2020

My most recent track season was most definitely a positive one because it showed progression in my competitiveness and also progression in my personal best's. I managed to improve my 1500m PB by 6 seconds by running 3:55 during the season. The main competitions were the Nationals and English Schools. In the National Championship, I managed to make the final but after a hard run in the heat, running 3:56, I struggled in the final and placed 12th, however, I do have another 2 years in the same age category in which I can build and improve this place. Following the Nationals, I was confident of making the final at the English Schools, which I managed to by finishing 4th in my heat and getting an auto qualification. In the final I placed 8th which is a strong position considering I am bottom year, however, I felt that this did not fully reflect my potential due to my poor tactics during the final. Therefore, I achieved my goals which I set before the season which I can not complain about! For the upcoming Cross Country season, I am currently building fitness after a rest period and therefore am not at full fitness. The major races for the season will be at the beginning of 2020 and for me, I will be focused on the English Schools Cross Country. I am yet to set a goal for where I wish to come because its early in the season to judge my form compared to others. However, if my season goes to plan and then I would expect myself to be able to finish within the top 15.
