Using my equipment

I have had my first opportunity to use my new equipment on a short move called Pulled both ways; its about a girl who is dealing with a divorce and feels like her issues are being ignored.it was directed by Luca Tweddle. The movie consists of only a single main character with 1 scene of them talking, however with that scene being compiled by multiple separate shots. The filming took place in a local public park.

when i got there it was apparent that i would need to fiddle with the settings until i found the one which worked with the environment. The key thing for a short movie like this is getting the right atmosphere to get added to the shots, this is important as when shooting a movie in a public park the shots may include sound of the public in the background which isn't optimal. So by take atmosphere sound at the end it allows for that and the sound for the scene to be added together to drown out any sounds made by the public.

The director also wanted the movie to be compiled by a lot of nature shots include ones of: swaying trees, running water and still fields this meant that detailed sound needed to be recorded for each of these.

It was great to use my equipment for the first time and i cant wait to use it again.
