I travelled to Manchester on Friday 19 October to compete in the Manchester International Short Course Meet.

I entered 5 events (400 free, 100 back, 100 breast, 100 fly and 100 free) and reached the final in 4. I achieved a PB in my 100m backstroke and came second with a silver medal. In the 400 freestyle I came third and in the 100 free I achieved a PB.

This was the first event of the season and the first short course championship I had swum in since December 2016. I was pleased with my swims. My next competition is BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sport) which takes place from 9 to 11 November 2018 at Ponds Forge, Sheffield.
