With the storm coming through we battled the elements and ended to Weymouth, Dorset, for the British Youth Sailing Team Selection event. The first day consisted of a light wind race followed by two strong wind races. We managed to pull it out the bag when the wind came through gaining an 8th and 16th out of a 58 strong fleet. With even more wind promised for Sunday we were excited to see what was to come. It started out too windy for us to sail so we waited on shore for a few hours before heading out for the final races. We were consistent on Sunday and as a result came 4th girls overall. We find out about the team places in the next few weeks. fingers crossed!
