Reflection on the 2017/18 Season

I love hockey. It's the sport that I play and that I am good at. All I really wanted to do was play and represent my team in every match I play.

This season started off to a good start with me scoring the opening goal in our first match of the season and I carried on that form through out the season with a goal a game. This allowed me surprisingly become top goal scorer. I use surprisingly as during the late aspects of the season i picked up an injury that put me out for the rest of the season. I broke my finger and obviously due to the nature of being a hockey player I could no longer play. This really put me down but due to the supportive people at JHMT I was able to receive excellent physiotherapy. I am now back in training and working on building my strength. I utilised my time on working on hockey theory and working on my mindset.

I look on to next season where I hope to retain my top goal scorer status and become a better player. I also hope to make it to the the tournament that would allow me to gain a chance to join the England hockey U18 squad.
