I entered a time trial at Loughborough University for the 800 free the weekend after the first time I had swam this event, so pacing was an interesting challenge. Pleased to report that pacing was better second time around and I knocked 5 secs off my initial time, which extended my lead at the top of my age group on British Rankings. Looking forward to the next time. At the other end of the distance scale, I raced 2 new long course PB's in the 50 fly and 50 back at the East Midlands Champs and came home with 2 silver medals. Not sure I am a sprinter but great to mix it up a bit!!!
