Since my last blog entry I have taken part in a further 3 athletics competitions. The first was a UKYDL competition in Birmingham, on 29th April, where I took part in the 400m hurdles, 110m hurdles, 4x100m and 4x400m. I was pleased with my performances, running time of 57.91 in the 400m hurdles, 0.1 seconds off of my pb as well as a seasons best in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.81; alongside these individual performances my team, Charnwood AC, came a close second in the 4x100m and also claiming second place in the 4x400m (of which I ran the fastest leg for my squad).

Unfortunately, on the day I wasn't feeling on top form and came away disappointed in both my races, despite once again running close to my personal best, with a time of 58.05 in the 400m hurdles.

Last weekend, on 27th May, I competed in another UKYDL, this time in Nottingham. The warm weather conditions lead to me performing well, achieving personal bests in my 2 events, running 14.6 in the 110m hurdles and 57.4 in the 400m hurdles! I aim to improve on this as nationals approaches towards the middle of June, where I will compete in just the sprint hurdles and will be striving towards making my first national final...
