I can't thank the Joe Humphries Memorial Trust enough for picking me for one of their Inspire Awards. The grant has come at the best possible time for me. I am currently training to represent the East Midlands at the Special Olympics GB National Summer Games in Sheffield. The grant will really help me to have 1 to 1 coaching to make sure I am in the best form possible and feel confident to do my best for the East Midlands in the National Games in August.

As a warm up before the National Games, I competed in the Learning Disability Regional Series Midlands tournament at Nottingham Tennis Centre on the weekend of 27^th May. I won a gold medal in the singles and gold with my partner in the doubles in my category. I am really excited about Sheffield and am really looking forward to competing, because the National Games only comes around every four years.
