Building skills

Since the last time I posted, I have been researching into Online courses I can do that fit around my busy home life and I have enrolled onto a graphic design course, which starts next month, to help build the skills I already have. Prior to this, I have carried on doing quick observational studies for my portfolio, taking photographs and using Adobe Photoshop to adjust colours, and I have started doing some digital art before my laptop was taken for repairs. I have also finally set up a WordPress blog, that I am planning on uploading work and documenting everything I have done, along with updating my social media accounts.

Since my laptop went for repairs, I have been using my tablet to practice doing digital drawings, which I have recently got an Adonit jot stylus to be able to do this, also, I have been learning calligraphy, which I have been looking into way to incorporate it into my paintings and digital art, which I've received positive feedback for from friends, family and those who follow my art accounts- that resulted into me being asked to do some work for people over Christmas and earned a bit of money to put towards getting some new materials, such as inks and calligraphy pens.

My next step is to continue working with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create more digital artwork and to do the graphic design course to build on my skills and I'm hoping to take more photographs to draw onto using Adobe Sketchbook.
